Contagious Corona Virus Outbreak from China, Airport Officials Alert Thermal Scanners

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - The Indonesian Ministry of Health has not yet banned travel from China to Indonesia or vice versa.

To prevent the entry of a mysterious virus similar to pneumonia from Wuhan, China, the Ministry of Health claims to have prepared thermal scans at 135 entry points to the country, both at airports and ports.

This virus has spread to several regions in China such as Shanghai, as well as several countries outside China. One of the countries in Southeast Asia affected by this outbreak is Thailand.

The Ministry of Health appealed to Indonesian people who want to go to China to remain alert to this mysterious virus.

The detection of one case of the Corona Virus in Singapore has prompted officers from the Batam City Port Health Office, Riau Islands to tighten entry points into Indonesia.

Some of the cities that are destinations for planes from China are Manado and Bali.
