Viral Video of Religious Figure in Sukabumi Being Beaten Then Falling, Perpetrator Admits He's Hurt When Reprimanded
AKP Norbertus Santoso as Kapolsek Surade said that the cause of the beating was because of the wrong target.
Quoted from TribunJabar.id, Norbertus explained that at the time of the incident there were two groups of mass organizations who were negotiating a problem.
There was an argument until the victim went to the negotiation area to appeal to the mass organizations not to cause a commotion.
The mass organizations who were offended by the victim's words which were delivered in a high tone then approached the victim.
Based on the victim's confession, the perpetrator hit the victim in the chest until he fell.
Currently, Norbertus continued, his party has made a Police Report (LP) and the case has been referred to the Sukabumi Police.
Meanwhile, AKP Rizka Fadhila as Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Sukabumi Police said that the perpetrator with the initials SP (48) was arrested on Thursday (14/5/2020) at around 05.00 WIB.
It was explained that the perpetrator's motive for hitting the victim was because he was offended by the victim's words.
With that, Rizka explained that for the time being, the perpetrator would be subject to Article 351.
"The perpetrator is one person, this is in accordance with the victim being one person. Article 351 is temporarily subject to it because the perpetrator is one person," he explained.
