Video of Motorcycle Club Personnel Attacking Two TNI Members in Bukittinggi

Commander of the TNI Army Military Police Center (Danpuspomad) Lt. Gen. Dodik Wijanarko explained that the beating of two members of the TNI Kodim 0304/Agam, West Sumatra, by members of a big motorbike club playing with gas was beyond reasonable limits. This condition forced two members of the TNI Kodim 0304/Agam, West Sumatra, to leave the road. "When the motorbike group overtook Serda M Yusuf, who was riding with Serda Mustari, it gave the impression of being impolite because the motorbike group was playing with the gas beyond reasonable limits, so that the two TNI AD soldiers who were riding in the car pulled over and left the road (on the shoulder of the road), " said Dodik in his official statement, Saturday (31/10/2020) evening.

Dodik said that the chronology began on Friday 30 October 2020 at around 17.00 WIB, members of Kodim 0304/Agam Serda M. Yusuf and Serda Mustari were riding together on a Honda Beat motorbike with plate number BA 2556 on Jalan DR Hamka, Bukit Tinggi City. Then there were members of the Harley Davidson Owner Group (HOG) motorcycle club Siliwangi Bandung, West Java who were in a hurry because they were left behind from the group. "The motorbike group was using gas beyond reasonable limits, so the two TNI AD soldiers who were riding in a vehicle pulled over and left the road," explained Dodik. Seeing inappropriate behavior, the two members chased and stopped one of the motorbike group participants at Simpang Tarok, Bukit Tinggi City.

In the incident where Serda M. Yusuf and Serda Mustari stopped the group, there was an argument that resulted in the beating of the two members of the Indonesian Army who served as the intelligence team at Kodim 0304/Agam. Previously it was reported that a video showing a TNI member being beaten by a big motorbike (moge) rider went viral on social media. The video was uploaded by the Instagram account @reporter.minang which stated that the attackers were a number of people suspected of being members of a large motorbike club.

After the incident, two members of the big motorbike gang (Moge) Harley Davidson from West Java were arrested by the police after allegedly ganging up on two TNI members from Kodim 0304 Agam, West Sumatra. The two people are MS (49 years) and B (18 years). Both were charged under Article 170 of the Criminal Code regarding acts of violence in public with the threat of 5 years in prison. "We have detained two people with the initials MS (49 years old) and B (18 years old). The article under suspicion is 170 of the Criminal Code," said Bukittinggi Police Chief AKBP Dody Prawiranegara who was contacted by Kompas.com, Saturday (31/10/2020). (TRIBUN -TIMUR.COM)
