Corona Update July 11: 74,018 Positive, 34,719 Recovered, 3,535 Died

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - The number of positive Covid-19 cases in Indonesia continues to increase. Government Spokesperson for Handling Covid-19, Achmad Yurianto, said that today, Saturday (11/7/2020), there were an additional 1,671 positive cases.

"We got 1,671 confirmed positive cases. So the accumulated positive cases we got were 74,018 people," said Achmad Yurianto when giving a press conference (11/7/2020).

The total number of specimens examined on Saturday 11 July 2020 was 23,310. So the total number of specimens that have been examined is 1,038,988 specimens.

Meanwhile, Yuri said that the number of recovered patients was also continuing to increase. The number of recovered patients as of July 11 2020 was 34,719 with a daily addition of 1,190 people.

For cases of death, an increase of 66 people to 3,535 patients died.

Yuri admitted that he was optimistic, looking at the data and recovery rates, the cases of recovery continued to increase day by day. Until now, a vaccine for the corona virus has not been found.

Therefore, the public is expected to continue implementing health protocols such as wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands frequently during the pandemic.
