Efforts to prevent Corona, Bio Farma PCR production does not need to import anymore
The mass production of the Bio Farma PCR test equipment is an effort to fulfill the COVID-19 test to 2 million Indonesian population in a short time to get a ratio of 0.6 percent of Indonesia's population tested.
During this time, Indonesia must rely on import PCRs in an effort to accelerate the detection of Corona.
But until now there are still raw materials that must be imported from outside.
"Approximately when the technology is ready, only maybe there will be a little obstacle in raw materials that have not yet arrived," said BPPT Deputy Soni Solistia Wirawan.
"It still needs to be purchased from outside, so we are still waiting for the raw materials. Later when the raw material comes, we prepare the prototype," he continued.
Meanwhile, Bio Farma, which has a production capacity of 15,000 tests per day, will produce as much as 50 thousand tests or equivalent to 2,000 kits in May 2020, and not long ago in the near future, it will meet its production capacity of 4,000 kits or equivalent to 100 thousand tests.
At the same time, the West Java Provincial Government planned a mass PCR test, by copying South Korea which was considered WHO as the best country in conducting a PCR test with a population of around 52 million.
"Incidentally the population of West Java is similar to around 50 million, so our target to find a map of the distribution of Covid-19 is to test to the alert and suspected as many as 300,000,"
To what extent is the reliability of the PCR reagent kit by the children of this country?
