Susanna, Owner of a Grocery Store Refuses Buyers to Buy Her Merchandise Due to Panic Buying, Noble Reason
This is because Susanna does not sell basic necessities to residents who want to buy up her wares, even though the buyers dare to pay high prices, in the midst of panic buying.
Reported by Tribunnews.com, Susanna admitted that initially her shop was invaded by residents during panic buying as a result of the announcement that Indonesian citizens from Depok were positively infected with the Corona Virus on Monday (2/3/2020).
Susanna imposed these restrictions on purchasing goods, so that the small stalls she patronized could continue selling.
In her grocery store, Susanna sets aside the stock of goods that the small stalls she patronizes need from other buyers.
He doesn't want to see the 20-30 small stalls he frequents stop selling because they don't have stock.
He also did this when floods hit Jakarta recently.
"We have set aside some for small stalls. Like when it floods, I still stock them," said Susanna when met at her shop, Wednesday (4/3/2020).
"If other people buy a lot, I don't sell. It's a shame for them (small stalls)," he added.
"So they can trade every day. What if they don't have the goods," added Susanna.
It is known that Susanna has been opening this grocery store for more than 30 years and is a regular at dozens of small stalls around Teluk Gong.
Apart from that, Susanna is also reluctant to increase the prices of goods in her shop, to take advantage of excess profits due to the Corona Virus disaster.
Susanna also admitted that since the government announced that an Indonesian citizen was positive for the Corona Virus, she had not stopped praying that the handling of this outbreak would be quickly resolved.
In fact, every time a customer comes to the shop, Susanna always invites him to pray.
