Artists Against the Revitalization of Taman Ismail Marzuki
A number of artists complained about Anies Baswedan to Commission X DPR RI. They were disappointed with Anies Baswedan's decision to continue the TIM revitalization project without any discussion with artists.
The TIM revitalization project being carried out by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has drawn criticism from artists.
Previously, the Taman Ismail Marzuki Concerned Artists Forum complained about Anies Baswedan to Commission X DPR because there was no discussion forum with artists before revitalizing TIM.
The artist assesses that TIM's revitalization is strong with elements of commercialization to increase regional income.
They asked that the TIM revitalization project be stopped and that Anies Baswedan be given sanctions because he was deemed to have violated a number of rules.
Meanwhile, a number of members of Commission X DPR stated that they did not agree with the revitalization of TIM. One of them is the former Governor of Banten who is also an artist, Rano Karno, disappointed because the revitalization did not involve artists as an important part of the TIM.
