On New Year's Eve, the Government Closes Squares Throughout Indonesia!
The city government (Pemkot) has appealed to all places that have the potential to attract crowds to close at 9 pm.
The Makassar City Government will close a number of busy locations ahead of New Year's Eve.
Crowded places that will be closed are Center Point of Indonesia, Losari Beach and Karebosi Field.
Joint officers will be alerted to monitor community mobility during the New Year.
Residents are encouraged to celebrate New Year's Eve at their homes.
