Flight Routes to China Stop Operating!
The 243 Indonesian citizens who were temporarily evacuated will be taken to Natuna to be quarantined and observed for 14 days.
If all Indonesian citizens are in good health, then the observation activities carried out while in Natuna are activities to maintain immunity for 14 days.
Regarding the Natuna community's rejection, Health Minister Terawan Putranto said that the Natuna election had been well considered.
Commander of the Joint Defense Region I Command, Vice Admiral Yudo Margono said that the health facilities in Natuna were ready. Communities around Natuna are advised to maintain a distance of 1-1.5 km from the isolation area.
Upon arrival in Natuna, these Indonesian citizens were given special treatment by officers, such as being sprayed with a special liquid.
In a press conference resulting from a limited meeting chaired by President Joko Widodo, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi said that 243 people had managed to arrive safely and were still under observation for 14 days.
The observation period will be carried out by 42 teams collecting Indonesian citizens from Wuhan. The total number of people who will carry out observations is 285.
As of the time this news was written, all Indonesian citizens in the quarantine area were in good health.
The Minister of Health and his team will open an office in Natuna to provide the latest information regarding the condition of Indonesian citizens during the observation period.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs added that direct flights to and from China will be temporarily stopped starting Wednesday (5/2/2019) at 00.00 WIB.
