Jamaah Islamiyah Leader Upik Lawanga's House Found 3 Meters Deep Bunker For Weapons Rafts
When arresting Upik Lawanga on November 23, the police found a three meter deep bunker in his hiding place.
Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police, Commissioner Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, said that the bunker measures 3x2 meters.
"This bunker measures 3 x 2 meters, three meters deep and is thought to be the place where the suspect assembled weapons," said Pandra at the Lampung Police Headquarters, Saturday (19/12/2020).

Upik Lawanga's house has brick walls and is on the edge of a rice field.
"Away from the hustle and bustle of society, this is a way to cover up the suspect's activities," said Pandra.
The location of the bunker was first discovered by the Densus 88 Anti-terror team when they arrested Upik Lawanga, 23 November.
The bunker is located in the kitchen of the house, covered by a black tarpaulin with a small entrance hole.
When opened, it turned out that the bunker was flooded with water up to an adult's knees.
Pandra said that the bunker was deliberately flooded with water for the suspect's purposes to test the weapons that had been assembled.
"To disguise yourself so you don't know when testing," said Pandra.
It is known that Upik Lawanga is an Islamic Network who is famous as the successor to Doctor Azhari.
Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, said that the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist suspect, Upik Lawanga, who was arrested in Lampung, was nicknamed a Professor.
According to Argo, this nickname was given because the suspect was known to have expertise in making bombs and homemade weapons.
Not only manual, but the suspect was able to make automatic homemade weapons.
"Upik's nickname among them is as a professor. Why is he called a professor? Because Upik is an expert in making high explosive bombs and homemade weapons manually or automatically," said Inspector General Argo at National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Friday (18/12/ 2020).
While still at large, this suspected Jemaah Islamiyah terrorist often moved from place to place.
