Revitalization of Monas, DKI Regional Secretary: preferred to be continued, but must be stopped
This decision was made after the meeting between the DKI Regional Secretary and the DKI Jakarta DPRD due to the arrest of the water catchment area, and there was no permit from the Medan Merdeka Regional Development Commission.
Responding to the chaotic revitalization of the Monas area, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 yesterday, the House of Representatives Commission II held a meeting with the Minister of State Secretary.
The results of the meeting of the DPR asked for revitalization to be stopped immediately.
Minister of State Secretary Pratikno also said that his party had written to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government related to the Monas Revitalization Procedure.
The State Secretary who is also the Chairperson of the Medan Merdeka Regional Development Commission is also waiting for a letter from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government regarding the negligence of licensing procedures.
Meanwhile, a member of Commission II of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle Faction, Hugua, asked the Ministry of State Secretariat to stop the Monas revitalization project which was considered to have a negative impact on the environment.
The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta and the central government should harmonize state assets so that they do not throw each other responsibilities.
Responding to this, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Secretary Saefullah finally surrendered and selecting the revitalization project was stopped temporarily starting Wednesday (29/1).
