Gas Pipe Leaks in Cakung, Traffic Closed
Authorities were forced to close traffic passing through the location of the leaking pipe during repairs.
In amateur footage, a gas pipe in the area of Jalan Raya Bekasi, Cakung, East Jakarta leaked and gushed gas in the middle of a toll road construction project in Pulogebang-Kelapa Gading City and attracted the attention of passing motorists.
It is suspected that the gas pipe leaked because it was exposed to excavation at the project site.
A number of authorized officers are on standby around the location to ensure the safety of local residents.
Quoted from Kompas.com, the PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (TP PGN) Disturbance Management Team swiftly made efforts to anticipate leaks in the gas pipeline network on Jalan Raya Bekasi, Cakung, East Jakarta, Thursday (12/3/2020).
One of the efforts made is to secure the leak location by installing warning signs.
