October 1945; the condition of parts of the city of Bandung that were destroyed before the arrival of the 23rd British-Indian Armed Forces. Houses and shops belonging to native and Chinese residents were burnt to the ground by republican troops, Chinese families scavenging for the remains of their possessions under the rubble of their shop buildings, native families who lost their homes, damaged offices, British army patrols -India, as well as native and Chinese civilians who fled in droves. Furthermore, on March 23 1946, around 200,000 Bandung residents burned their houses and left the city for the mountains in the southern area of ​​Bandung. This was done to prevent Allied troops and KNIL and NICA troops from using the city of Bandung as a strategic military base in the Indonesian Revolutionary War of Independence. This event is known as the "Bandung Sea of ​​Fire".
