Indonesian citizen quarantine rejection in Natuna, Mahfud MD admits the late information

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Responding to a wave of rejection that still continues to occur against Indonesian citizens from Wuhan, China which is observed in Natuna.

Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security Mahfud MD this morning (04/02/2020), summoned the ranks of the Natuna Regency Government.

This closed meeting discussed the matter of handling and security of hundreds of Indonesian citizens who were evacuated and now observed at Raden Sadjad Air Base, Natuna.

In this meeting, Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security Mahfud MD was also accompanied by Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto, Interior Minister Tito Karnavian, National Police Chief General Idham Azis, and TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto.

Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security Mahfud MD said, on the 6th of February 2020, an Istighozah event or a joint prayer in Natuna will pray for the health of the Indonesian people.

Mahfud admitted that there was a delay in information that occurred from the government to residents in the regions, until there was a rejection of Indonesian citizens from Wuhan.
