Explanation of Muhammadiyah Withdrawing from the Ministry of Education and Culture's Program
Muhammadiyah assessed that the selection criteria for the 183 organizational proposals that passed were not transparent.
Chairman of the Muhammadiyah central leadership's primary and secondary education council, Kasiyarno, expressed his appreciation for the organization's program to improve the quality of education in Indonesia.
Based on communications with education branches in the regions, they questioned the legality, offices, staff and financial reports of parties who passed the program with a budget of almost 600 billion rupiah.
"From these names we can say that some are not competent, the office just doesn't have them," said Kasiyarno.
Muhammadiyah also regrets that CSR institutions that should help fund education actually receive assistance from the government.
The central leadership of Muhammadiyah's primary and secondary education council resigned and asked the Ministry of Education and Culture to review the letter.
"Rather than in the future we will suffer awunya (impact), yes, it would be better if we just resign," said Kasiyarno lolos verifikasi program muhammadiyah mundur program kemendikbud cerita indonesia kompas tv Muhammadiyah CSR
