Majene Earthquake Refugees Start to Get Sick and Need Food Due to Bad Weather

KOMPAS.TV - The victims of the Majene earthquake, West Sulawesi, who had been evacuated began to feel sick and needed food due to the bad weather that also occurred.

Previously, an earthquake measuring 6.2 magnitude rocked Majene Regency, West Sulawesi, and its surroundings on January 15 2021 at around 01.28 WIB.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency or BMKG stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was 6 kilometers northeast of Majene, and at a depth of 10 kilometers.

According to BMKG, this earthquake does not have the potential to cause tsunami waves.

On January 14 2021 afternoon, Majene was also shaken by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9.

The shock was felt in a number of areas in South Sulawesi and several areas on Kalimantan Island.

The earthquake also reportedly caused a number of buildings to collapse and landslides in hilly areas.
