The arrest of women is suspected of scattering hoaxes about the work creation law
Public Relations Head of Police Public Relations Inspector General Argo Tuwono said the spread of hoaxes was mentioned through the Twitter VE account.
"This woman has the initials VE, it's 36 years old in Makassar City, so after we made an arrest there we brought it to Jakarta, then we did the examination. So from the results of the examination, it is true that the person concerned did a post, broadcasting false news on her Twitter account that caused the trouble there," Argo said.
VE was successfully arrested on October 8 yesterday in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
The hoaks distributed by VE are 12 articles in Omnibus Law Cipta Work Law.
"These 12 articles are distributed in which the articles are for example severance pay, then the UMP-UMK is deleted, then all the leave has no compensation and others. That has been circulating so that the community is provoked," Argo said.
Argo explained Ve did his actions because he did not work and was disappointed with the rules so as to spread wrong information through social media.
