Djoko Tjandra was arrested by the Malaysian Police

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - The Republic of Indonesia Police succeeded in arresting slippery fugitive Djoko Tjandra, Thursday (30.07.2020).

The Head of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, said that in accordance with President Jokowi's instructions to arrest the slippery fugitive Djoko Tjandra and solve the case that occurred.

Based on this order, National Police Chief General Idham Azis formed a special team headed by Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

After receiving information that Djoko Tjandra was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the National Police Chief followed up with a P to P (police to police) process.

"Then the National Police Chief followed up by carrying out a police to police process and this is what we usually do," said Komjen Listyo during a press conference, Thursday (30.07.2020).

Djoko Tjandra was arrested at a place in the Kuala Lumpur area where the exact location was not stated.

"The arrest process went smoothly. The P to P process went smoothly," he continued.

Komjen Listyo also emphasized that he would be committed and transparent in resolving this case.

Apart from that, he also thanked the police in Malaysia for helping to find Djoko Tjandra.
