The signal for an increase in Pertalite prices this year is getting stronger. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif told members of the DPR RI that the price of Special Assignment Fuel Type (JBKP) Pertalite and electricity rates would increase, in response to rising world crude oil prices. Arifin explained that oil prices, which were already high, continued to soar after the Russia-Ukraine conflict. So the price of Indonesian crude oil (ICP/Indonesia Crude Price) will reach 98.4 US dollars per barrel in March 2022.
