Meanwhile, access to NIK data remains free for public service institutions such as BPJS Health and regional public hospitals, ministries, institutions and local governments.

NIK access is usually used to verify data and the number of institutions accessing NIK data at the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs continues to increase.

From initially only 10 institutions in 2013, it grew to 30 institutions in 2015 and now there are more than 5,000 institutions.

Later, the costs included in non-tax state revenue will be used to maintain the dukcakpil system itself when the dukcapil budget decreases.
