Patient with suspected Covid-19 case jumps from 3rd floor of RSUD

DEMAK, KOMPAS.TV - A number of health workers on duty in the Covid-19 treatment room at the Sunan Kali Jaga regional general hospital, Demak, were questioned by the police.

This was done following a patient with a suspected case who died, after escaping from the Regional Hospital, by jumping from the 3rd floor of the hospital building.

After one patient with a suspected Covid-19 case died, because he tried to escape, by jumping from the 3rd floor of the Sunan Kali Jaga Demak Regional Hospital building, one by one the health workers were questioned by the Demak Police, as witnesses.

The health workers who were examined were officers on duty in the patient care room.

According to information from health workers, previous patients had often asked to be sent home, because they were tired of being in the hospital for too long.

Because he was never allowed to go home, the patient was determined to damage the fence railing and then jumped from the 3rd floor.

During the investigation stage in the case of the patient jumping from the third floor, the police department had summoned seven picket officers on duty both before and during the incident.

Previously, it was known that the victim had been admitted to Sunan Kalijaga Hospital since June 30.

When he arrived at the hospital, he experienced shortness of breath. Because there were symptoms of Covid-19, the victim was asked to undergo isolation in hospital.

The patient with the suspected Covid-19 case has also undergone a swab test. However, until now the results have not come out.
