A number of aftershocks occurred after the 7.4 magnitude earthquake rocked Larantuka, East Nusa Tenggara.
ITB Earthquake Geologist, Astyko Pamumpuni, analyzed that aftershocks could continue to occur even though their strength was decreasing.
And it is suspected that this initial earthquake was an earthquake whose mechanism was not triggered by an upward fault, so it would only trigger a relatively small tsunami wave.
