Panji Gumilang Reported Again, This Time Suspected of Violating Zakat Management
This report was filed by the Indramayu forum and sued the Indramayu Police on Monday (17/07) afternoon.
In the report, the leader of the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School, Panji Gumilang, was suspected of violating the rules regarding the management and distribution of zakat.
Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council, Wiranto, denied having a special relationship with the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School.
Wiranto explained that he had contact with Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School when he ran in the 2004 election as a presidential candidate.
He admitted that he often campaigned at Islamic boarding schools, one of which was Al-Zaytun.
