Cake factory made from rotten eggs raided

A dry cake factory in Lumajang, East Java, was raided by the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the East Java Regional Police and the Lumajang District Health Service because it was found to be using rotten eggs as one of its raw materials.

Local residents who were around the factory also admitted that they had smelled an unpleasant odor during the production process from inside the home industry factory.

Head of the Lumajang District Health Service, Bayu Wibowo, said that consuming rotten eggs can have a bad impact on health because they contain bacteria that can cause prolonged diarrhea.

Apart from that, the local Health Service also stated that it had never given a business permit to this cake factory so it could be said that this cake factory was operating without a permit or illegally. The raid on this factory began with reports from the public who were disturbed by the unpleasant smell coming from inside the factory.

According to the factory owner, his motive for using rotten eggs in the cake making process was to reduce production costs.
