Reviewing the Track Records of 3 Bekingan Generals, Djoko Tjandra

KOMPAS.TV - The case of Djoko Tjandra's travel documents has a long tail. The National Police Headquarters is examining 3 generals who are considered responsible in this case.

The National Police Headquarters in this case did not only stop with the removal of Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo as Head of the Coordination Bureau and supervision of Civil Servant (PNS) investigators at Bareskrim Polri Headquarters.

Two other generals were also removed from their posts. They are Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte, previously Head of the International Relations Division. and Brigadier General Nugroho Slamet Wibowo, Secretary of NCB Interpol Indonesia. The removal of the 2 generals was stated in the National Police Chief's telegram letter dated July 17 2020.

The removal of the 2 police generals is thought to be related to the deletion of Djoko Tjandra's name in the Interpol Red Notice. Red notice is a request to find and temporarily detain someone who is considered involved in a legal case,

Head of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit. Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo said firm action against the general involved in the Djoko Tjandra case would not only stop at removal but could also result in criminal sanctions.
