Dismantling the Case of Leaked Documents and Alleged Extortion of IDR 4 Billion at Kpk!
The case of alleged leak of KPK investigation documents related to the alleged corruption case at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources which involved KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri.
This case emerged after a viral video of a conversation between KPK officers and Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry officials circulated.
In the conversation, it was alleged that the KPK leadership had leaked documents from the results of the KPK investigation to the Minister of EDSM.
After receiving the report, the KPK Supervisory Board stated that there was insufficient evidence regarding the report of alleged violation of the code of ethics, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri, regarding the leak of KPK documents at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Because there was insufficient evidence, the report could not be continued to the ethics hearing.
Contrary to the results of the KPK Council's investigation, Polda Metro Jaya has raised the status of the investigation into the alleged leak of KPK investigation documents at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to the investigation stage and criminal elements were found.
The case of alleged leakage of investigative documents has not yet been resolved, now there are allegations of illegal levies at the Corruption Eradication Commission detention center.
Even the KPK Supervisory Board itself discovered this alleged extortion amounting to IDR 4 billion.
The KPK leadership who received this report stated that they had opened an investigation into the allegations and findings of illegal levies.
Both the leak of investigative documents and the irony of illegal levies at this anti-corruption agency are material for evaluation and at stake for the integrity of the Corruption Eradication Commission.
