Recognize the Symptoms of Acute Hepatitis in Children from an Early Age

KOMPAS.TV - The number of children who die from suspected acute hepatitis continues to increase. Currently five people have reportedly died from this disease.

The Indonesian Pediatrician Association or IDAI asks parents not to panic and focus on prevention.

The Ministry of Health said that 15 cases of acute hepatitis had been detected in 5 provinces in Indonesia since the first case was discovered on April 27.

Namely 11 people in DKI Jakarta, 1 person in West Java, 1 person in East Java, 1 person in West Sumatra, and 1 person in Bangka Belitung.

To date, the Ministry of Health has recorded that 5 patients have reportedly died.

Three of them are in DKI Jakarta, one is in East Java and West Sumatra, while 10 other people are still being treated.

The average patient with acute hepatitis is 1-6 years old.
