Kappa Variant Case Found in Jakarta, Get to Know This Mutation!
This case is the first case discovered in Jakarta. This information was conveyed by University of Indonesia Epidemiologist Pandu Riono via his personal Twitter account.

The Kappa variant was documented in October 2020 in India.
However, the Kappa variant is not listed as a variant of concern or a variant of concern according to the World Health Organization or WHO.
On the other hand, WHO classifies the Kappa variant as a variant of interest. However, the Kappa variant also has the ability to spread very quickly and is potentially deadly.
