Jokowi-Trump Cooperate to Handle the Corona Outbreak
On his Twitter account, President Trump will send medical equipment to Indonesia, one of which is a ventilator.
Speaking by telephone, President Jokowi and President Trump agreed to increase cooperation to end the corona pandemic.
After the conversation, President Trump immediately shared the contents of his conversation with President Jokowi on his verified Twitter account.
He explained about efforts to make ventilators in his country and would send them to Indonesia when they were ready.
"Just talked to a friend, Indonesian President Joko Widodo. He asked for a ventilator which of course we will provide. Great cooperation between us," said a statement on the Twitter account @realdonaldtrump.
Increased Indonesian-American cooperation, especially regarding medical devices.
Jokowi and Trump exchanged ideas regarding protective equipment for medical personnel, for example PPE and masks which are really needed by many countries at this time.
The two state leaders also expressed their condolences to each other for the citizens who were victims of Covid-19.
