Jokowi Shows Off Health Equipment Made by National Children
There are ventilators, RT-PCR test kits and rapid test equipment, face shields, etc.
The President hopes that the results of this research and innovation can continue to the mass production stage.
Apart from that, the President has also repeatedly explained that this innovation is important so that there is no need to import medical equipment because we can produce it ourselves.
Previously, on Wednesday (20/5/2020) President Joko Widodo launched research products and innovations to speed up the handling of Covid-19 via virtual means.
This launch is in commemoration of National Awakening Day with the theme The Awakening of Indonesian Innovation
In his remarks, President Jokowi expressed his desire for Indonesia to be able to find a vaccine for the new corona virus, so that Indonesia does not have to depend on vaccines developed by other countries.
The President also expressed his joy because the Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology had obtained data regarding seven viral genome sequences which were very useful for vaccine development.
