Bridge Worth 25.9 Billion Collapses in Pangkalpinang
The bridge is currently under construction.
This bridge is a Pangkalpinang City Government project with a total budget of 25.9 billion rupiah.
Funds for this project were taken from the Pangkalpinang City APBD.
This bridge is named the Air Kerabut Bridge, or Hanging Jerembah.
This bridge is planned to become an icon of Pangkalpinang City.
The work has been carried out since April 22 2020, and is targeted for completion on December 17 2020.
One of the eyewitnesses, Yuliantina, said that the incident occurred at night, after evening prayers.
"After sunset, there was a sound... it collapsed straight away, fell straight into the water," said Yuliantina in an interview.
Luckily, there were no casualties in this incident. However, two construction workers were injured as a result of the bridge collapsing.
