Jakarta Flooded, Residents: During the Last 7 Years, This Was the Worst

The rain that fell on the city of Jakarta since yesterday afternoon left most areas in Jakarta submerged in floods. The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan immediately instructed the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to deal with the floods that hit early 2020.

Anies advised all his staff to immediately intervene to visit sub-district offices and help residents trapped in the flood.

"I instructed all levels of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to intervene and immediately go to the nearest sub-district office to work under the coordination of the village heads, to help save residents," said Anies via voice recording at Manggarai Water Gate, Wednesday, January 1 2020.
