Prices of Chicken Eggs Continue to Fall, This is the Cause
Retail sellers and the public have also felt that egg prices are falling day by day.
One of the causes of the drop in egg prices on the market is the abundant supply of chicken eggs but consumer demand tends to remain constant.
Meanwhile, Head of the West Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-Department, Iwan Indriyanto, mentioned a number of causes that caused the price of chicken eggs to plummet.
"The price of purebred chicken eggs is currently experiencing a decline in price due to smooth distribution, there is a lot of availability (tends to be over supply) while consumer demand tends to remain constant," explained Iwan.
The price of purebred chicken eggs in a number of traditional markets in Jakarta is currently around IDR 19,000 to IDR 20,000 per kilogram.
