Expensive Gas Prices, Jokowi: I want to talk roughly, but not ...
Jokowi even stated that he wanted to say harshly because he was upset with the high price of gas. Initially, Jokowi explained that the high price of this gas made Indonesian products unable to compete with outside products.
"Gas prices will greatly affect the competitiveness of our industrial products in the world market. We continue to lose our products because of expensive gas prices," Jokowi said in a limited meeting at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (6/1/2020).
In fact, Jokowi said, there are six industrial sectors that use 80 percent of Indonesia's gas volume. That is, when the portion of gas is very large in the structure of production costs, it will affect the selling price of the product.
Jokowi asked his staff to see correctly the cause of the high price of gas. Jokowi also revealed that he almost said harshly because of this high gas price.
"I was going to say a rude one, but it didn't be. I think that's what I can convey as an introduction," he said.
