Gerindra will summon Andre Rosiade regarding raids on online prostitutes in Padang

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, confirmed that he would immediately summon Andre Rosiade, regarding the online prostitution raid case in Padang, West Sumatra.

Ahmad Muzani, stated that until now, he did not know for certain about this case.

He also scheduled to immediately call Andre Rosiade.

Regarding sanctions, he admitted that he would hear Andre's explanation first.

According to legal observers, the raid carried out by a member of the DPR RI, Andre Rosiade, was considered excessive, and was not actually the task of members of the legislature.

Legal observer, Abdul Fickar Hadjar, believes that Andre's actions were too excessive.

He said that the real task of legislative members should be to absorb the aspirations of the community, not to be executioners in the field.

Apart from that, regarding the legal prosecution of the prostitutes who were arrested, Abdul thought it was in accordance with existing laws.

The reason is that the suspect violated the ITE law because in conversations via social media, the suspect had posted content that violated moral elements.
