5.5 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Jakarta

KOMPAS.TV - An earthquake measuring 5.5 magnitude rocked Bayah Banten. The earthquake was felt in the DKI Jakarta area.

The point of the earthquake was in waters 71 km southwest of Bayah, Banten.

The earthquake that occurred on Thursday afternoon, February 4 2022, did not have the potential for a tsunami wave.

However, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency or BMKG continues to warn residents who felt the earthquake to remain careful for possible aftershocks.

This earthquake, which was centered around Banten Province, was the second event whose shaking was felt in Jakarta in the past two weeks.
