Ganjar Announces Minimum Wage Increase in Central Java
Regency/City MSEs in the Central Java region experienced varying increases.
The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, said that in accordance with law number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, entrepreneurs are obliged to implement this provision by January 1 2021.
It was explained that there had been various increases in Regency/City MSEs in Central Java ranging from 0.75 percent to 3.68 percent.
Ganjar explained that this was in accordance with the results of discussions he held with the district/city wage council.
As well as recommendations from the Regent and Mayor of each area.
He added that the provisions for increasing the UMK apply to those who have worked for one year.
