JAKARTA, KOMPASTV - Chairperson of the Education and Enlightenment Division of the Covid -19 MUI Task Force Asrorun Niam said there are several criteria that can be the foundation for people who want to do Eid prayers in congregation.

Asrorun conveyed that there are at least 3 criteria that can be used as a basis for whether Eid prayer can be done in congregation or not in a community environment.

Based on the fatwa issued by the MUI related to the implementation of the IED 1441 Hijri prayer.

Asrorun Niam said that an area that was not affected by the Covid-19 outbreak could carry out the Eid prayer in congregation in public places.

Eid prayers in congregation can also be done in public places for areas that have a decrease in the distribution of COVID-19 are supported by the existence of policy of easing social activities.

Meanwhile, for areas that are still included in the MUI red zone, it suggests that the community can do Ied prayer activities in congregation at home together with family.

Eid prayers in congregation can be done at least at least 4 people consisting of 1 priest and 3 people.

While on the Eid al -Fitr night the community can also sing takbir at home to reduce the potential for the spread of the corona virus.
