Fact of Illegal Mask Raids: Production materials from China to raw Rp. 250 million per day
The hoarding warehouse and production of the mask belongs to PT Uno Mitra Persada as a marketing company.
While PT Unotec Mega Persada as a mask production company.
Head of Metro Jaya Police Public Relations Commissioner Yusri Yunus said, they produced illegal masks that did not have a distribution permit or production from the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
Yusri revealed, the illegal maximum company could produce around 17 boxes containing 50 boxes of masks.
Then, they sold a box of mask for Rp. 230,000.
During the raid, the police secured 600 boxes containing 30,000 masks ready for distribution.
"After we conduct a raid and search at this location, it turns out that in this place not only hoarding, even producing illegally, which does not match the standard, does not have permission from the Ministry of Health," said Yusri at the Central Cakung Warehousing, Cakung Cilincing, North Jakarta, Friday (28/2/2020).
Yusri explained, the warehouse raid began with public information related to the scarcity of masks that were allegedly caused by the hoarding of masks.
When raided, the police secured 10 people, each with the initials YRH, EE, F, DK, SL, SF, ER, D, S and, LF.
Meanwhile, the police are still hunting for warehouse owners who are also traveling as the leader of a mask producer company.
Meanwhile, based on the initial information of the suspects, the illegal mask production warehouse began to operate since January 2020.
For their actions, the suspects were threatened with being charged with health laws and Article 107 of Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade.
"The threat of a maximum imprisonment of 5 years and or a maximum fine of Rp 50 billion," said Yusri.
