"We have a very good relationship in many areas, but good friends sometimes have different perspectives. We can solve this problem. We have good communication and I think our problem will be resolved well," he said when met at the Indonesian Stock Exchange, Jakarta Wednesday (8/1/2020).

The statement made by Xiao Qian was in line with what was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Luhut actually emphasized that the conflict that occurred in Natuna also had no impact on the Indonesian economy.
Previously, Luhut even asked that tensions with China because the Natuna sea issue should not be exaggerated.
"Actually, there's no need to make a big deal out of it. When it comes to the presence of the ship, in fact we also lack the ship's capacity to carry out patrols in our EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone)," said Luhut in his office, Friday (3/1/2020).
