DPR Summons Anies Baswedan, Ridwan Kamil, and Wahidin Halim Regarding Flood Management
The meeting, which was supposed to be attended by three governors, Jakarta, Banten and West Java, was postponed.
The meeting, which started at around 10 past 15 minutes, started with a presentation from the PUPR minister, Basuki Hadimulyono.
However, when the representatives from the provinces who were invited started to speak, members of Commission V made many interruptions, until finally the meeting was postponed.
The meeting will discuss the problem of flooding that has recently occurred in Jabotabek.
As well as formulating joint solutions to overcome them.
Meanwhile, DPR Commission V member Syarief Abdullah Alkadrie said that West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil and Banten Governor Wahidin Halim were also invited.
However, Syarief admitted that he could not confirm whether Anies and Ridwan Kamil-Wahidin Halim were present.
"We are inviting you. Regarding the flood issue, how to comprehensively ensure synergy between the center, DKI, Banten and West Java. We cannot blame DKI, blame Banten or blame West Java. This is also the responsibility of the central government regarding this issue," said Syarief.
A number of areas in Jabodetabek were flooded on Tuesday (25/2).
