"Together We Are Strong", D'MASIV Invites Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic
Every beginning has an end, every problem has a solution. Never give up, believe that happiness is waiting. There is wisdom behind every problem. The following is what D'MASIV wants to convey through a song entitled "Together We Are Strong".
D'MASIV's background in making this song was because he saw the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic phenomenon. "Initially we received a request from the label to release a religious song. Then inspiration struck when things weren't good out there. Seeing the many reports about calls to keep your distance and stay at home, we think it is necessary to invite people to do something positive, fun and raise good hopes for all. "Finally with this song, we agreed to create a #TogetherWeAreStrong campaign," said Rian.
"The inspiration for writing this song came when it was raining and I happened to be holding a guitar. Then it occurred to me that after the rain a rainbow usually appears. "This can be interpreted as an expression or prayer, that there will be a beautiful ending after this trial passes." continued Rian.
The process of working on this song was fairly fast, "In 3 days we had everything finished. Initially, before this song was produced, I uploaded the chorus of the song on social media, apparently the response from my followers was positive, many asked to make the song. Then we informed the label and the response was good." Rian added.
Wahyu said that the technology for producing songs is currently very adequate. “We all utilize existing technology. Without needing to make a song demo, we can work on it in our respective places without having to gather. The work process is relatively short."
Rian said something interesting about the cover image for the song Bersama Kita Kuat. "The song cover image was made by 2 children of Agan Harahap (visual artist), namely Merdu Harahap (6 years old) and Damir Harahap (4 years old). At first I sent the song to Agan Harahap, then they listened to it together, then Merdu and Damir put it into a painting, and in the end it was perfected by Agan. "The cover of the song Together We Are Strong seems to describe the chaos of the world, but in the midst of it all there is hope that we can get through this trial together."
“The lyrics of the song #TogetherWeAreStrong can be ammunition. "We need songs that provide encouragement to relieve sadness during the current pandemic," said Rian.
"What we want to convey to society is simple, with #TogetherWeAreStrong, we as social creatures cannot do everything ourselves. "With this song, hopefully it can give strength to listeners throughout Indonesia and the world," explained Rian.
"Hopefully there is a lesson that we can all take away, because Together We Are Strong!" close the personnel. The song "Together We Are Strong" can be enjoyed on all digital music platforms Musica Studios starting April 24 2020.
