Heavy Rain, Palace and Monas Surrounded by Floods
Heavy rain fell on the capital city area, causing flooding on Jalan Medan Merdeka, which circles the Monas and Palace areas, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Sunday morning. Drainage is still poor, meaning rainwater that falls with high intensity cannot flow normally.
The regional secretary of the DKI Jakarta provincial government, Syaifullah, admitted that the mouth of the water channel has not been tested, so it will be enlarged, so that it can accommodate the rainwater that falls.
