Formula E Circuit Design Surrounds Monas Revitalization - AIMAN (Part 2)

Indonesia is one of the hosts for the Formula E racing event, an electric car racing event, aka the car race of the future because it no longer uses engine fuel. The capital city of DKI Jakarta will be transformed into a Monte Carlo-style street circuit in Monaco. So what is Formula E? How is it different from Formula 1?

Apart from the differences in the engines, the duration of Formula E racing is relatively short, only taking 45 minutes. Formula E also presents a new experience of watching racing for its fans. Fanboost and Attack Mode features that involve the audience and have a direct influence on the racers. What is this feature like? And what impact will it have on riders in this event?

Apart from that, the organizers of the Formula E event must also pursue the construction of a circuit located in the Monas area. Monas South Plaza, which is currently in the process of being revitalized, is one of the points used for Formula E because it is surrounded by the Formula E circuit. Apart from the Monas revitalization area, the Formula E circuit will also use the stone road located at Silang Monas towards Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, The stone road will later be covered with asphalt. The large number of trees around the Monas monument makes it unlikely that spectator stands will be built for the upcoming Formula E event. However, there is no clear picture yet of where the spectator stands will be erected.

Many people don't know the point that will be used for the Formula E circuit in the Monas area. Some people agree that the Formula E race will be at Monas, but there are also those who reject it considering Monas as a cultural heritage area.

So what benefits will the community get? Read more in Aiman's episode of Di Balik Gaduh Balapan Ibu Kota, part 2 below.
