Hot Debate! FPI Permit Extended or Rejected?! | Minister Jokowi's breakthrough - ROSI (3)
Even though the recommendation has been submitted by Fachrul Razi, the status of the FPI permit extension still depends on the decision of a team consisting of the Ministry of Religion, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Human Rights Affairs. Also with President Jokowi's approval.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Home Affairs, Tino Karnavian, feels that he still needs to review FPI's AD/ART. Tito Karnavian highlighted the vision and mission of the FPI organization, the contents of which are the implementation of Islam in a kaffah manner under the auspices of the Islamic caliphate through the implementation of da'wah, enforcing hisbah and guarding jihad. Not to mention that the FPI term about the Republic of Indonesia having sharia has appeared.
The issue of the caliphate brought up by the FPI made Budiman Sudjatmiko worried that the concept of the caliphate would kill the Republic of Indonesia. But for Rocky Gerung, there is no need to worry about the concept of the caliphate, because it is still debatable, or can be debated and is not something final.
