9 Employees Positive for Covid-19, Health Office Closed, Regency Government Office Remains Open, Even though Regent is Positive

BLITAR AND SUMENEP, KOMPAS.TV - 9 employees of the Blitar District Health Service, East Java, were confirmed positive for Covid-19. As a result, all services at the health office were disrupted. Meanwhile, activities at the East Java Sumenep Regency Government Office continue to run normally, even though the local Regent has tested positive for Covid-19.

The Blitar Regency health service office was temporarily closed by the Covid 19 Task Force. All community services were temporarily suspended. This was done because 9 employees at the local health service office were confirmed positive for Covid-19.

Head of Health Services at the Blitar District Health Office, Christine Indrawati, said that this case was first discovered when 5 employees became ill. After being swabbed, 3 of them tested positive for Covid-199. Employees who had close contact were also swabbed and the results were that an additional 6 people tested positive for Covid-19.

"Currently there are still 80 employees waiting for the results of their swab tests and they have been asked to self-isolate and work from home," said Christine Indrawati.

Meanwhile, activities at the East Java Sumenep Regency Government Office continued as normal, even though the Regent of Sumenep, A. Busyro Karim and the Regional Secretary, Edy Rasiyadi tested positive for Covid-19.

The ASN and PHL of the local district government office continue to carry out their activities as usual. Even in the Graha Arya Wiraraja room, a face-to-face evaluation meeting was being held.

Assistant II to the Sumenep Regency Government, Moh. Herman Purnomo claims that the government routinely sprays disinfectants and traces to avoid the spread and transmission of the corona virus.

Government office cluster Covid-19 cases continue to increase. The local Covid-19 task force also asked state civil servants and district government honorary employees to be disciplined in implementing the 3 M's, namely wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining distance in order to suppress new cases of Covid-19 from government office clusters.
