3 Passenger Worse Motorcycle taxis are now arrested by the police

JAKARTA, KOMPASTV - The police did not need long to arrest three motorcycle taxi drivers who were considered extortion to three of their passengers. The third was charged with an article of extortion whose threat of a sentence reached five years in prison.

Armed with a viral video on the police social media from the Tanjung Duren Criminal Investigation Unit in West Jakarta on Friday afternoon (21/2) arrested the three base motorcycle taxi drivers known as Arif, Muhtar, and Sudarno at his residence in the Semanan Kalideres area, West Jakarta. One of the suspects denied extortion of passengers.

The police are still examining the three base motorcycle taxi drivers in the alleged extortion case. Although the three suspects denied the police extortion assessed that the tariffs charged by the suspect were unnatural.

Tanjung Duren Agung Wibowo Police Chief explained that the tariffs charged by the three motorcycle taxi drivers were far above the usual tariffs that were not more than Rp 50,000 or Rp 100,000.
